The name 'avoin sangha' translates into English as 'open sangha'. The idea behind the forum was to give people an opportunity to discuss religion without constraints.
In addition: insult people without constraints.

ReplyDeleteSexual harassment and lack of empathy at Avoin Sangha
Whole case started a few days ago. It started from a side a side poking needles into a full blown shit posting. I’ve talked in numerous threads with this person Jakke (also known as Jaska and Jaakko) and usually in those he’s started to blame me from lack of empathy, emotional instability etc. etc. You get the point. And that has happened without me talking to this person. Anyway, back to this topic how it started. He posted in general thread, which is basically about “how you’re doing today” Alvar Piazzo’s Oblivion what I commented to sound fine elevator music.
-Fuck you latteboy.
ME - I don’t drink latte, but in your imagination.
-In my fantasies I fuck you into the ass and force you to suck my dick. Except you don’t make me horny enough, your artistic horizon reach outs only to elevator-music and electric guitar.
At this point, I still hoped it was for the gag and thought to play along for another laugh. Because I didn’t seriously considered that he was furious to me. We have had similar discussion before likes of “did you score today?” I’m usually quite easy going with jokes, but when it starts to be a form of personal attack… Anyway, this is how I replied:
ME – No doubt. It takes lot of courage to come out of the closet. Big applauds. Good! This is the way!
-You read me wrong, I haven’t come out of the closet. I said you’re intelligently and emotionally lower being and idiot. But sun does still shine to morons, and we’re under the same sun. Thanks for applauds, maybe we will fuck when we meet.
And that’s when I realized that we all along in a batshit insane mood. Being part of moderator team, I gave him a warning, which hurled out series of other attacks in that particular thread, and another thread, which wasn’t at all about him. In that, where I told that I had been harassed on another forum by a guy, who sent me picture of his balls, which he had carved with knife my nick, exactly seven messages more or less personal attacks and how I had deserved that picture with my own behavior. “Because you’re emotionally unstable” etc. His opinion didn’t change, even though I told him it had happened around ten years ago and Jaska couldn’t possible know that. In addition, I mentioned I had been two years inactive on that forum when it happened. All this to no avail.
Worst part is that, when other moderators and Thanavuddho saw this turmoil what had happened on our forum over weekend, NO ONE OF THEM didn’t speak anything against Jaska and his obnoxious behavior. They even got as far as to say that I had caused this with my own actions, implication of Jaska being the victim. Thanavuddho’s personal reply to this was “BAD JOKE Raita! You should ask permission when to use warnings!” “Giving a warning is a gross trick Raita!” “Here’s a few things to explain Raita!” All of this openly. And when I opened and told how I felt about it, Thanavuddho coldly replied “Good that warning has been taken out. Metta” This isn’t Metta. This is poison in disguise of metta. And again no one have had anything to say against about this kind of behavior on our forum. Another admin said that this should been allowed and not to be acted upon. I personally don’t get it. If I’m a moderator I feel it as my personal duty to start to
Please accept my apologies. I clearly overreacted in that situation. Hopefully we can settle this dispute and move ahead in the development of the new website!
